Connect With Yourself Through Your Values
Connect with yourself through your values: When we’re not able to connect with others, it’s always helpful to connect with ourselves. Connect with yourself by first identifying your top three values. Values are not things or people; they are paths that we walk on. Love, adventure, contribution, wealth, fun, self-acceptance, and knowledge are examples of values (for more examples, google the Personal Values Card Sort by Miller, Baca, Matthews, and Wilbourne). Next, set an intention to align with those values whenever you notice the opportunity, and then keep your eyes open for opportunities. They’re usually small and can be hard to miss. When we make choices that align with our values, life feels more meaningful, and we feel more deeply connected with ourselves.
